French Bread – Machine Loaf

I didn't believe that a machine loaf could be so good – until my niece talked me into experimenting!

Materials

  • 1 Cup +2 Tbspns Water warm
  • 1 Tbspn +1 tspn Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbspn +1 ½tspns Sugar
  • 1 tspn Salt
  • 3 ¼ Cups Bread Flour
  • 2 tspns Active Dry Yeast

Instructions

  • Place the water, oil, sugar and salt in machine pan
  • Cover with flour
  • Place the yeast in an indent on top of the flour (separating it from the liquids)
  • Place on setting : 2 (French Bread)
  • Set to medium Crust
  • Set to 1.5 LB loaf size
  • Set timer according to desired completion time

Ingredients can be placed in the machine and the timer set so that you wake up in the morning to the waft of a freshly baked loaf to enjoy for breakfast
