Dumplings for Stew - No Suet
Light dumplings made without suet.

- 1 Mixing Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Flour and a little extra for forming the dumplings. 150 g
- 1 tsp. Paprika
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. Herbs according to preference.
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 1 Pinch Black Pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Yoghurt
- ½ Cup Water 100 ml
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- Mix the flour, paprika, salt and pepper well in a small bowl.
- Mix the yoghurt and oil into the water.
- Stir into the flour until a light dough is formed.
- Dust the dumpling mix with flour and divide into 8 pieces.
- Roll each dumpling by hand, flattening slightly and place on top of a stew.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- Flip over, cover and cook for another 10 minutes until cooked and serve.
Notes
Additional items can be added to the dumpling mix such as spices, herbs, caraway seeds, mustard and sauteed onion.
