Ingredients

  • 1 Pint Milk
  • 1 each Vanilla Pod or 1 tspn. Vanilla Essence
  • 4 each Egg Yolks
  • 2 oz Sugar

Instructions

  • Boil the milk with the split vanilla pod.
  • While the milk is heating, whisk the yolks and sugar until light.
  • Add the milk slowly, whisking in.
  • Return the mixture to the pan and cook over a low heat until the sauce coats the back of a spoon.
  • Pass through a fine strainer and cool.
