
Ingredients
- 1 Pint Milk
- 1 each Vanilla Pod or 1 tspn. Vanilla Essence
- 4 each Egg Yolks
- 2 oz Sugar
Instructions
- Boil the milk with the split vanilla pod.
- While the milk is heating, whisk the yolks and sugar until light.
- Add the milk slowly, whisking in.
- Return the mixture to the pan and cook over a low heat until the sauce coats the back of a spoon.
- Pass through a fine strainer and cool.
