
Ingredients
- 3 Lb Pork Ribs short cut
- 2 Tbspns Salt to add to water for ribs
- ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbspns Ketchup
- 1 Tbspn Hoisin Sauce
- 1 Tbspns Sweet Chili Sauce
- 1 tspn Cider Vinegar
- 1 tspn Sriracha Sauce
- 1 tspn Sesame Oil
- 1 tspn 5 Spice Powder
- 2 Cloves Garlic finely chopped or grated
- ½" piece Ginger finely chopped or grated
Instructions
- Place the ribs in a pot and cover with cold water with a good sprinkling of salt.
- Bring to a simmer, skimming off any particles that comes to the surface.
- At this point aromatics such as bay leaf, peppercorns and other herbs may be added to the water.
- Cook until tender. (1½ hours)
- In the meantime, mix the remaining ingredients to make the marinade.
- Drain the pork ribs, refresh and in the cooking pot, mix with the marinade.
- In a hot wok, cook the ribs with the sauce until caramelized.
