Ingredients

  • 100 g Pudding or Arborio Rice 1/2 Cup
  • 750 ml Whole Milk 3 Cups
  • 100 ml Cream 1/2 Cup
  • 4 each Green Cardamom Pods crushed
  • 1 each Strip Orange Zest
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar adjust to taste
  • Pinch Salt
  • Optional: Pistachios or Toasted Almonds to Garnish

Instructions

  • Combine the rice, milk, cream, cardamom, orange zest, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Cook on low for 30–40 minutes, stirring more frequently as it thickens.
  • Once creamy and the rice is tender, remove the cardamom pods and zest.
  • Serve warm or chilled, topped with nuts or a dusting of cinnamon.
